After four or so decades of dialogue on each of the above issues. I could admit to being a sort of ‘quiet’ cultural warrior (with many others). This attitude of rebellious/idealism in art and life has been an important way to live against so much opposition.
In an art world that is for professionals far more vicious than vivacious, I have survived and have remained something of a peoples’ artist and radical outsider and left wing insider. This has been very, very difficult role to achieve. But all in all, its been totally worth it.
